About Our Beach House

History

In 1936 Mr. J.B. Lahan launched a development of a beach community that would be known as Laguna Beach, FL. Mr. Benjamin Adams from Monroe, AL purchased one of those lots, and in short order he'd bring a big load of poplar lumber he harvested from his farm to start building. Subsequently, four generations of Mr. Adams' family would enjoy this house for 75 years, until it finally underwent a complete down to the studs renovation a few years ago. All while maintaining the charm of the original interior tongue and groove shiplap walls.

Nostalgia

This house was full of stories. Stories like the three engagements that occured on this front porch spanning over three geenrations. Do you have memories of that beach vacation long ago? A favorite aunt you'd visit each summer? This beach house is one that will take you back to those days. And even better, you will create some new memories of your own while you are here.

The curator of this historic little gem happens to be an industry pro at creating amazing hospitality experiences. During your stay you will enjoy our "Sleep Like a Mermaid" beds, featuring Frette Italian made sheets, white noise makers recommended by the National Sleep Foundation, and a perfect anti-microbial HVAC system to maintain a perfectly dehumidified climate in the house. Loved this house! Cozy, beautiful, close to the beach, across the street from a gourmet grocery, wonderful donut shop just blocks away. The list just goes on! Fantastic hosts that answer any questions within minutes. You can tell that they want their guests to have a wonderful and relaxing experience. It was a little piece of heaven and a lovely break for us.

We searched for weeks trying to find that vintage Floridian Bungalow with luxury cottage amenities, and we found it at the Historic Laguna Beach House & Inn. Such a lovely place! Its charm is like a breath of fresh air. Beautifully designed with so many personal details throughout the home. We had everything we needed. The kitchen was amazing and lacked nothing. Each drawer was labeled with the content in it for easily locating items to use. We loved the open space concept to comfortably relax and enjoy family.

Our stay at the Adams Beach House in Panama City Beach was unforgettable. Ashley's attention to detail in restoring this beautiful beach house is truly remarkable. From the moment we stepped through the door, we felt like we were stepping back in time, to a place where every detail mattered and no expense was spared. Ashley did a wonderful job of researching the past influences of the home and bringing them to our modern world.

Perfect location, the convenience of the market next door and the beach steps away were as good as being on the beach, at least from my perspective. I can't overstate the convenience of that market, great wine selection, liquor store and all the items you need to make dinner at home, no need to bring groceries.The house is small, but well executed, instructions posted everywhere to make it very easy to use. The kitchen is well stocked, the stove is gas which I love, There are great restaurants nearby, and the host can make some good recommendations, make reservations early.

We loved our week in this home! We loved staying in this home so much! Our family of 5 had plenty of space and felt comfortable. We love the style of the home from the wood paneling to the decor and personal touches that make it so unique. The home is well stocked with cookware, towels, paper goods, soaps, etc. The back porch is large and a nice second living area. You can see the gulf from the front porch. I could really get used to a grocery store across the street every day! Communication with the owner/manager was quick and efficient. We definitely plan to book here again.

Perfect vacation home The Laguna Beach House is just amazing. Hands down this is the best vacation rental we’ve ever stayed in. Everything you need to have the perfect vacation is there. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, we made many meals together. Beach access is steps away from your door. Towels, chairs, umbrellas, and coolers were in the Fisherman’s shed available to use. The neighborhood was super quiet and friendly. We felt right at home. Linens, decor, and and furnishings were simply beautiful. A lot of love went into this property and it shows. We really wanted a place to unwind and relax, and this house was just the place. Ashley was lovely to work with as a host. We will be back soon!!
